Fuck You, Dr. Fauci.
Yeah, I said it.
Fuck you, Dr. Fauci.
Not because you became a political lightning rod.
Not because cable news turned you into a celebrity.
Because while you were writing diary entries, giving interviews, and managing your public image, Americans were living through hell.
I was a nurse.
I didn’t experience COVID from behind a podium or on television. I lived it at the bedside.
I held the hands of patients dying in isolation because visitation policies kept their families away. Husbands couldn’t hold their wives. Children couldn’t hug their parents goodbye. We became their family because they weren’t allowed to be there.
That isn’t politics.
That’s trauma.
Now, after more than 1,000 pages of your pandemic-era diary have been released and you’re back testifying before Congress, Americans are getting another look behind the curtain. The journals have renewed questions about pandemic decision-making and leadership during one of the darkest periods in modern American history.
For years, anyone who questioned lockdowns, mandates, school closures, or the government’s response was labeled selfish, ignorant, or dangerous.
Question the experts?
You’re the problem.
Question the data?
You’re spreading misinformation.
Question whether families should be allowed to say goodbye to dying loved ones?
Apparently you were the monster.
Meanwhile…
Millions of kids lost years they’ll never get back.
Small businesses collapsed.
Healthcare workers were pushed to the breaking point.
Families were permanently scarred.
People died alone.
Those aren’t talking points.
They’re memories.
Mine included.
No.
You don’t get to keep your lies.
You don’t get to keep the excuses.
You don’t get to hide behind, “We were doing the best we could.”
You don’t get to rewrite history while millions of Americans are still living with the consequences of the decisions you helped shape.
In my opinion, Anthony Fauci is one of the most destructive public officials of my lifetime.
For every patient who died without family at the bedside…
For every nurse forced to become someone’s final goodbye…
For every healthcare worker who lost a career over mandates…
For every child robbed of a normal childhood…
For every small business that never reopened…
For every American mocked, censored, or silenced for asking questions…
You don’t get redemption because you published a diary.
You get scrutiny.
You get accountability.
You get judged by history.
Science isn’t supposed to demand obedience.
Science is supposed to welcome debate.
If your position was sound, questions shouldn’t have been a threat.
If your decisions were justified, transparency shouldn’t scare you.
The American people aren’t owed another media interview.
They’re owed answers.
The families who never got to say goodbye are owed answers.
The nurses who carried that burden are owed answers.
The healthcare workers who paid with their careers are owed answers.
History shouldn’t remember COVID as a time when Americans simply obeyed.
It should remember the families who suffered, the healthcare workers who carried impossible burdens, and the people who refused to stop asking hard questions.
As for me?
In my opinion, Anthony Fauci is the closest thing to an antichrist figure I’ve seen in American public life—not as a theological claim, but because of the suffering I witnessed firsthand and the damage I believe his leadership helped inflict.
Some people will remember him as a public health icon.
I won’t.
I’ll remember the faces of the people who died alone.
And for that…
Fuck you, Dr. Fauci.
